Dr. Artan Karini is an associate with the Canada-Europe Transatlantic Dialogue (CETD) and Adjunct Research Professor at the Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (EURUS), Carleton University. His research concerns the intersection between EU accession processes (specifically in Southeast Europe) and administrative reform (both in OECD and non-OECD country contexts) through the application of frameworks including policy transfer, convergence and diffusion. A 'pracademic' whose research interests broadly lie within the field of global governance and the role of aid institutions in promoting best practices in development and HRM reform, his research has been published in prestigious peer-reviewed journals including the International Jourrnal of Public Administration (Taylor & Francis), European Journal of Development Research (Palgrave Mcmillan) and the Journal of Canadian Studies.
