Diawara, Karounga

Karounga Diawara , LL.D. (University Laval, Quebec), D.E.A. in European law (IEJE, Liege), LL.B. in business law (UGB, Saint-Louis) is currently Professor at the Faculty of Law of University Laval (Quebec City, Quebec, Canada). Prior to that, he was professor of the Department of Law of University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM). Dr. Diawara's research interests concern mainly the protection of consumer's interest by antitrust law (Canada, E.U and U.S.), comparative antitrust law, the link between antitrust and consumer law, business, transnational and EU law. Pauly, Louis W.

Before entering the academy, Louis W. Pauly held management positions in the Royal Bank of Canada and served on the staff of the International Monetary Fund. He is currently a Full Professor of Political Science, Canada Research Chair in Globalization and Governance, and Director at the Centre for International Studies at the University of Toronto. With Emanuel Adler, Dr. Pauly edits International Organization, a top-ranked scholarly journal in the field of international relations. Among his current research projects, one focuses on the restructuring and adaptation of international financial institutions, another on the politics of technological innovation in Asia, and another on crisis management in integrating financial markets.

Peredo, Ana Maria

Dr. Ana Maria Peredo is a Professor in the Peter B Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria, and the director of the Centre for Co-Operative Based Economy at the same school, as well as Director of the BC Institute of Co-operative Studies at the University of Victoria. Her research focuses on the role of business in society, specifically poverty alleviation and business emerging from civil society. As an anthropologist, she has worked for UN and European development agencies involved in rural development projects with the Quechua and Aymara peoples, where a principal responsibility was micro-credit and income generation for Andean indigenous women.
