About the Directory

The EUCAnet expert directory features scholars and practitioners working on EU and European related issues in Canada. The largest group are senior scholars at universities in Canada. Other experts in the database are junior scholars, former diplomats to the EU, policy makers and experts working in various NGO’s and think tanks. We are in the process of expanding the database targeting experts in Europe that have close collaborations with Canadian universities. Our goal is to be inclusive and contribute to a vibrant community of experts to foster the dialogue on European challenges that are relevant for Canada.

This database is comprehensive. It allows to browse by: disciplines, field of expertise, European regions and countries. It also allows to search by Canadian provinces and cities, universities, professional status and language. The EUCAnet database also lists various thematic expert groups (Environment; Migration; Security; Trade and Democratic Deficit). In addition, the experts’ directory features the members of the European Community Studies Association-Canada (ECSA-C) and of selected EU Centres of Excellence.
