Tamtik, Merli

Merli Tamtik is a Assistant Professor at the Faculty of  Education, University of Manitoba. Her research project focuses on policy coordination issues in Canadian innovation policy. She also works as a sessional instructor at Western University, teaching courses in educational policy and international education. Dr. Tamtik has graduated from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE), Faculty of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education (LHAE) at the University of Toronto. Her research projects have examined the Open Method of Coordination in EU’s research policy, the role of expertise in European policy-making, European internationalization initiatives in research policy, and the impact of research funding agencies in shaping the research agenda of higher education institutions.

Research Interests: European Integration and Governance, Comparative Research Policy, Higher Education Policy, and Internationalization of Higher Education
